Library programming includes any activities, clubs, events, or services that are provided by the library program. While not always, programming often occurs in addition to circulation and instruction.
Strong school libraries offer a variety of programming that meets the diverse needs of their students. This may include:
Literacy programming that supports independent reading habits;
Interest groups or clubs that build community;
Passive programming that encourages engagement;
Author visits, guest speakers, or other special events.
