5th Grade Teacher at Highcroft Drive Elementary

I am excited that you're visiting my page because I am very interested in getting to know all of you this year! I am originally from West Virginia, although I'm not the typical West Virginian you may think of first! There wasn't any camping, hunting, or even country music for me growing up as my parents are from the north. They just retired and are now living life at a beach in the Carolinas! My 2 sisters came to NC for teaching jobs as well. I have a beautiful 6 year old niece and a sweet 3 year old nephew. I am fortunate they also live in Raleigh! I am extremely interested in travel and experienced a trip to Spain with some of my former students and other teachers around the country. It was breathtaking! My next trip with students will be a STEM trip to Panama, next summer. I am passionate about our earth and all the amazing places there are to see and experience. I have visited 14 different countries so far. I love group exercise, running, and yoga. Fun fact; I have been a vegetarian for over 15 years!
