What to do when a student needs academic support

First Steps

• Individual conversation with the student about their struggle/area of need

• Contact with student's other current teachers to see if they are experiencing the same struggle in other classes and content areas

• Consult with IEP/LEP case manager if the student has one

• Parent communication

• Consult with PLT/Department as other members may have similar student situations and solutions
