K-2 Counselor
I have been an elementary school counselor for 25 years, 24 of which have been in Wake County. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in School Counseling. I am a National Board Certified Teacher in School Counseling and love what I do!
When I'm not working, I enjoy watching my 15 year old daughter play softball, reading and spending time with family and friends.
I'm excited for another fantastic year at KES! Go Knights!
3-5 Counselor
I am a licensed school counselor with over 4 years of experience and a licensed associate level clinical mental health counselor. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (bachelor's) and NC State University (master's). I have worked in a variety of settings such as public schools, mental health agencies, and family homes. If I had to choose one setting to work in, I would choose an elementary school.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with my family, friends, and dog.
I'm so glad to be a part of the KES family!
A School Counselor has the privilege of working with all students through classroom counseling lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling on a short-term basis when /if needed. We also collaborate with school staff and parents in order to best meet the needs of students.
We will be adding information and resources to this site regularly, so check back often.
