As one of the webmasters at Knightdale High School, I am responsible for making sure information on the website is up-to-date and easily accessible for students, families, staff members, and the broader community. In terms of supporting the learning environment, this takes the form of maintaining a strong collection of tutorials, offering a menu of supportive options for teachers (e.g., co-teaching, pathfinders, tech support), and ensuring that families can find materials to support their students. In addition to making overall changes and improvements, I have worked extensively on the organization of the website (e.g., streamlining information, removing the "more" option under tabs to minimize clicks) and on the development of the remote learning page, student tech support page, and teacher support page. I have also worked with Kristel Behrend to create the senior page and graduation page, with the goal of keeping seniors informed especially when they are not in the building. The changes have helped increase traffic to relevant portions of the website, and we are continuing to improve the experience by gathering feedback through measures such as the website scavenger hunt.
