To support students who want to create digital portfolios on their own or who need refreshers on how to complete certain elements, I worked with my partner librarian to create a webpage with self-directed instructions and activities. The webpage has tutorial videos, resume templates, portfolio examples, and all the resources we use during our lessons on digital portfolio. In addition, it has a slideshow to guide students through the process. In creating the webpage, I made sure to address different learning styles (e.g., instructions in both text and video form) and to scaffold support to address the needs of different students. To evaluate our work on the webpage, we had a group of seniors use the instructions presented on the site and made adjustments based on their feedback. For example, the link describing how to get photos off a phone and onto a Weebly was added after a senior asked for guidance. The webpage is a living document, as we only recently added a fourth resume option based on a request by one of our teachers.
