Hello Friends!
Thank you for visiting my website! As a school psychologist since 1984, I have been privileged to support students and their families from preschool to graduate school. I am a graduate of Wright State University (B.S. in Education; M.S. in Mental Health/School Counseling; M. Ed. in School Psychology; Internship (one year) in School Psychology) and Miami University (Ph. D. in Educational Leadership and Administration).
My family and I moved from Ohio to North Carolina on July 1, 2008. My wife Pamela, and daughters Myranda (as well as her husband Tom) and Meredith, love the beautiful North Carolina sites and weather. We enjoy going to movies, exercising, playing games and spending time together as a family (which includes our three granddogs (Shih Tzus: Noomi, Esther and Doris). Since moving to North Carolina, I have had the good fortune to work at Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) at the preschool, elementary school and high school levels. While in Ohio, I started my career in education as a teacher (kindergarten first and fourth grades) before seeking a career as an elementary/high school school counselor.
During my career in Ohio, my professional experience and educational background included leadership as a Director of Human Resources, Supervisor of Guidance and Counseling, and Assistant Principal (middle school). In addition, I have worked as a school psychologist providing psychological evaluations and social-emotional support of students from preschool through high school. I have also provided instruction at the university level on topics such as human growth and development, psychology, as well as methods used to evaluate the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of children with mild/moderate educational needs, social-emotional needs and behavioral disorders.
Currently, I enjoy supporting the staff, students and families at the WCPSS Office of Early Learning (Preschool Special Education Services). My experience and professional development has included training in Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as meeting the guidelines of the Exceptional Children Division for training in the assessment of Traumatic Brain Injury and listed on the Exceptional Children Division's registry of approved providers.
Please feel free to contact me if I can be of support to you. I look forward to talking with you soon!
Sincerely,
Jeff
