Virtual Truck Fair

Since we cannot have a truck fair at school at this time, the link above is to a Virtual Truck Fair, sponsored by ABC11 News, Junior League of Raleigh and Johnson and Lexus Car Dealership.  Warning:  There are commercials before each video.

Click on the link to access videos from US Careers Online.  This is a resource for middle school students, their parents, and educators to discover career opportunities available to them. This site will help students know why they learn specific skills in school. US Careers Online highlights both careers and the pathways available to enter the workforce.

HMS students will take an interest inventory  through nccareers.org to learn more about what type of person they are.  After taking the short quiz or the long quiz, students will find out which careers match their personality.  Students will discover if their personality is Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional, or some combination. (RIASEC)  Eighth grade students will take the Personality Inventory in Major Clarity to determine what type of career path they should follow based on their personality.
