Career Development Services
The mission of the Heritage Business Alliance (BA) is to work collectively to foster career awareness and prepare students to become productive citizens and leaders in their communities, the global economy and their life. The partnerships between local businesses, school administrators and HMS educators connects community resources with students to enhance the School-to-Career transition. The alliance with local businesses allows students to see a direct link between education and career pathways, resulting in prepared employees for the workplace.
We encourage businesses and community members to share in exposing our students to various professional activities as they relate to the 16 career clusters. We would like students to have opportunities to participate in career events such as:
Enjoying work-based learning activities
Exploring various career paths
Learning the value of professional development
Having relevant life-career experiences
Experiencing school and academics as preparation for career development
Participating in Career Fairs (held on campus)
Businesses and community members are a vital part in helping our students succeed. If you would like to be an active supporter, please consider becoming a part of our business alliance. The Heritage Business Alliance supports our students in becoming college, career, and citizenship ready leaders. Business Alliance members commit to 1 meeting every other month for 1 hour to collaborate and share resources, expertise, and concepts to support HMS students in college and career ready events, experiences, and/or activities.
