Hey there! My name is Lizzie Knapp and I am excited to be returning as the counselor for grades K-4 at Hilburn this year! I received my Bachelor's in Psychology from Elon University, and my Master's of Education in School Counseling from the University of Virginia.

This is my sixth year as a school counselor in Wake County, and I am grateful every day that I get to work with the best students in the world! Working with students is my passion.  I am so lucky to serve as an advocate for students, and I love using my role as  school counselor to empower children and help them realize their full potential. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, practicing and teaching yoga, and traveling the world! I also love to read and have read over 40 books this year! 

Hello there Hilburn Hawks! My name is Amina Zouhri and I am excited to be at Hilburn Drive Academy as your Middle School (6-8) Counselor! I received a BA in Child and Family Studies from UNC Chapel Hill in 2013 and a M.Ed. in School Counseling from NC State in 2022. 

This is my first year as a school counselor for WCPSS, but I was lucky enough to also complete a year and a half long internship at Poe Elementary School and Oberlin Magnet Middle School during my program. Prior to that, I was a 3rd grade teacher for 6 years and a middle school ELA and Social Studies teacher for 2! I am so excited to get to know each and every one of our wonderful Hilburn Hawks. I am here to guide, empower and support our students and am ready with the tools and energy to do so!

When I'm not at school, I enjoy doing anything and everything outdoors: hiking, camping, skydiving, kayaking, you name it! If I am not outdoors, I am probably testing out some new recipe in the kitchen because I love baking and cooking as well!
