Now, you will continue designing your Dream Room by picking out your Flooring, Paint color, furniture, lighting, and other accessories. So, let's get started with the PAINT.

Here is a document called Dream Room - Designing your Walls which gives you the specifics of what you should do to create your Flooring Slide.

Step 1: If you did not watch the Dream Room - Paint Instructions video on the Canvas assignment, it is also located below. WATCH THIS VIDEO BEFORE PROCEEDING.

Dream Room - Paint Instructions Video (Click on the title to the left.)

Below is a sample of how your PAINT: WALL SLIDE should look. In addition, make sure that you have linked the sample Paint color picture to the actual page where you found the information on your slide.

Below you will find the link to Lowe's Home Improvement website. When you are deciding on paint for your dream room, you will need to select paint texture and paint color.

PAINT TEXTURE: ("Shininess")

Step 1: When you click on this Paint Texture/Finishes link, you will see that you have three choices. They are all Paint and Primer in one. However, the texture is different. Make sure that you decide how shiny you want your walls before you select a texture.

NOTE: I have samples of the different textures at my desk.

2. Once you decide on a texture, you are ready to decide on your color.

PAINT COLOR:

Step 1: Click on the Lowe's Home Improvement - Paint by Color link here.

Step 2: Now, you will need to decide on a Paint Color. Scroll down on the left hand side of the screen and you should see Paint Color Family. Select a Color Family. Then you will need to select the SHEEN (This is the texture that you chose). Now you can select what exact color that you want to use on your walls.

Step 3: Once you find a color that you would like to paint your walls, you need to copy the picture of the paint to your Proposal Paint Slide. Type the name of the Paint Color below the picture in your slide. This picture will include a picture of the base coat finish.

Step 4: You need to look at the specifications of the paint to see how much square footage one gallon of paint covers so that you can calculate how many gallons you will need to purchase based on the total area of your walls. You will also need to calculate the total area of your walls as well. NOTE: A standard wall is 8 feet tall.
