Wake County math curriculum is from Open Up Resources  (Illustrative Mathematics).  This is a collaborative and application based method of involving students in their own mathematical learning.

Each student receives their own workbook for each unit.  Often, we will complete class activities in their workbook.  They also will have nightly homework in their workbook. There are 4-6 Practice Problems at the end of each lesson.  The first 2 to 3 problems cover new concepts from the day and the last few problems are review topics.
