Scholarship: Students will be required to demonstrate "outstanding" scholarship. Students will need a minimum weighted GPA of 4.0 to become members of the National Honor Society.
Character: Students will be required to demonstrate "outstanding" character. Students will be required to ask their four fall semester teachers to fill out a Google Form to evaluate their character. Students will also have the option of asking other FGHS staff members - whom they may know in other capacities such as coaches, counselors, other club advisors, or administrators - to fill out the form for them.
Community Service: Students will be required to demonstrate "outstanding" community service. An exact number of service hours has NOT been decided upon at this time for the Felton Grove HS Chapter, however a service hour log is available to begin logging service opportunities that you are currently involved in. The log is linked here or can be picked up in Mrs. Bryant's room 1626. Hours logged on this form require an adult signature. These hours can be logged from ANYWHERE you are completing service, not just hours logged at school. You can add any hours completed while you were in high school to this log as long as you can obtain an adult signature (9th or 10th grade years). For your application, you can use a picture of your paper hour log, or this Google Document with images of proof, or a combination of both to demonstrate your community service impact.
Leadership: Students will be required to demonstrate "outstanding" leadership. An exact number of leadership positions has NOT been decided upon at this time for the Felton Grove HS Chapter. Students are encouraged to find ways within the school community to lead. This could be through clubs, athletics, arts, SGA, etc. There will be a process for documenting leadership opportunities and asking for adult verification.
