Virtual Band Camp

In response to the WCPSS announcement, the East Wake Blue Spirit Marching Band is pleased to announce the launch of a virtual learning program. The Virtual Band Camp is designed to give current and incoming students an enriching musical experience from the comfort and safety of their home. Virtual Band Camp will follow a masterclass type format where students will be able to watch and participate in virtual sessions with a live instructor.

Students who have previously registered for marching band are required to attend the Virtual Band Camp; however, with the launch of this virtual platform, band students interested in improving their skills, gaining instruction in their specific discipline, and learning new skills are invited to attend! Educational tracks are available for woodwind, brass, battery percussion, front ensemble percussion, and color guard (rifle, flag, saber). Previous marching experience is not a requirement for participation.

Participants are required to have basic internet service, a computing device with web camera, and their own instrument or equipment. Headphones are not required, but are strongly recommended for student success.

Students who will need to borrow equipment from EWHS should contact Mr. Garner via email at jgarner@wcpss.net. Please know that EWHS will do its best to accommodate student needs, but equipment availability is limited and will be first come first served.

For planning and staffing purposes, please register via the Google Form provided below. There will be no cost associated with Virtual Band Camp.
