The best advice I would give any lower classmen is to NOT rush these years. Time is already flying don't speed it up by being so eager to graduate. I had the opportunity to graduate a year early and as happy as I was when I was first told this, I am kinda happy I didn't. I would say though, if you want to have as smooth of a senior year as possible, plan accordingly! Try to take classes like math, science, etc. ahead of time. I.e. I was finished with math, science, and history by my junior year. Also, try taking some AP classes; doing well in them can have a huge increase on your GPA. Speaking of GPA, keep it up! Once you start applying for colleges and scholarships you will see that most things require a 3.5 minimum; so the higher you can keep your GPA the better. Take as many honors classes as you can; it'll look better to colleges. Develop bonds with your teachers. They're likely to be more lenient with you if they like you! However, don't let the whole four years of high school just be about school work. Enjoy this time ! Spend time with your friends, go to school games, participate in spirit weeks; all of this contributes to have the best four years of your life.Â
