About the Director

Ms. Hallihan

Lauren Hallihan graduated in 2013 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) with a degree in music education where she studied choral methods. While at UNCG she was a member and two year music director of the university's A Cappella group Seraphim. Lauren has years of experience in A Cappella arranging and has studied choral composition with Dr. Entsminger at Belmont University. In the summer of 2013 Lauren was the music director for Randolph County's community Theater production of "Annie Get your Gun."  From 2013-2016 she served as the chorus director at Cane Creek Middle School in Fletcher, NC. Her ensembles traveled to the regional Music Performance Adjudications every year. 

In 2018 Lauren completed her master's of music in vocal pedagogy from Belmont University.  While at Belmont University she served as a soloist for Belmont Chorale, St. Mary's Catholic Church (Oldest church in Nashville, TN), and was a member of the treble ensemble "Vox Grata."

Lauren has a beautiful little girl named Maeve! Together they enjoy taking long walks, and dancing to the Encanto soundtrack! Lauren's Hobbies include rock climbing, hiking, tennis, yoga, board games, reading, drawing, and flower legos!
