Drama offers an exciting, comprehensive variety of opportunities for beginning through advanced levels of study and experience. Courses include work in creativity as well as performance, skills, and stagecraft. Acting and special interest classes provide students with performance opportunities in and outside of class. Drama students also explore other areas of the theatre such as history, play analysis, and technical theatre design and production. Co-curricular productions such as musicals, non-musicals, one-acts, original plays, and student-directed works, are produced each year.
Parents are a vital part of Enloe Theater. They are needed to run concessions stand and ticket sale for each show. Also needed are chaperones for trips. Funds are raised throughout the year to support Enloe Theatre. Sometimes fundraising opportunities are targeted for special uses such as our scholarship fund or for personal funds for trips. New ideas from parents are always appreciated.
The Enloe Drama Club hosts many activities that allow all students to participate in many aspects of theater.
The International Thespian Society is our Theatre Honors Society. Invite and application are required to join and students must stay active throughout school to recieve distinction at graduation.
The Happy Accidents are Enloe's award winning improvisation troupe. The Happy Accidents compete in the NC Improv Competition and at other events throughout the year.
The fall play & spring musical are also open auditions, meaning that any student at Enloe is welcome to audition and participate.
