High School Registration

Review this slide deck to learn general information about attending a WCPSS High School.  

The High School Planning Guide can also provide information on graduation requirements and CTE course sequences.  


Class registration will take place the week of March 4th.  

Prior to meeting with Ms. Risalvato, students should review their core teacher recommendations and the course offerings document for the school they are attending   (found below).  

If you have specific questions related to your student's recommendations or the opportunities available at their assigned school, contact Ms. Risalvato at jrisalvato@wcpss.net.

Use the directions in this document will help you view your current school assignment in powerschool. 

 If you would like to request a transfer, click here to do so through the office of student assignment.  The transfer window runs from  March 4th-15th.  If a transfer is granted, please let Ms. Risalvato to update your registration.


Driver's Education Registration/Classroom Information: 


Driver's Education can be taken through Jordan Driving School.  To be eligible for the class, you must be 14 years and 6 months.  You can visit Jordan Driving School website for more information.  




NC Student Working Permit


Students wishing to get a part-time job must be at least 14 years old.  Before requesting a worker's permit, they must first interview and be offered a job.  Once a position is secured, they should visit North Caroline Youth Employment website and complete the necessary forms.
