About the Band Director

Ms. De la Rosa

Ms. De la Rosa grew up in the Wake County School System. She received her dual degree in Music education and Psychology from Meredith College. She is very passionate about teaching band and hopes that her students will enjoy it just as much.

Ms. De la Rosa is beginning her 6th year teaching at ECMMS and has fallen in love with the Cary community. In the 25-26 school year, she was recognized as East Cary's Teacher of the Year and as a Young Director of Excellence by the Eastern Central District of Band Directors.

Social Media Presence

Ms. De la Rosa loves sharing her passion for teaching on social media and enjoys connecting with the community outside the school building. Education goes beyond the classroom, and she's passionate about bringing light to broader issues. Being "cringe" is part of her charm and encourages parents and students to follow her!

She collaborates with directors from all over the country, creating content and sharing ideas to positively impact music education. See her featured on episodes of "Band Room Therapy" and more!

Origins

I am originally from Puebla, Mexico. However, I grew up in Wendell, NC. My culture means a lot to me and has really impacted who I am. I speak both English and Spanish fluently! :3

Family

I have a big family and they're all very important to me. When i'm not in school, I'm probably bonding with them.

Fun Fact

I love coffee and creating latte art! Reading a book at a coffee shop is my idea of a perfect day.
