About Mrs. Karol

Mrs. Karol (tforbeskarol@wcpss.net) has had her hand in over 100 stage productions in the past 25 years. She was a professional stage manager for several companies and started directing community theatre in her twenties. In 2007 she helped found an inclusive theatre company in the Chicago area. This led to a passion in helping young people who are largely underestimated. Mrs. Karol, who did undergraduate work in theatre, went back to school and received her Master in Education in 2015. She has a license in Special Education as well as Dramatic Arts. Mrs. Karol has been a special education teacher for the past 7 years and directed the school musicals every year, as well. She has been teaching theatre arts at MPMS since 2022.  She has been married to her husband Robby for 11 years and they have a 10 year old named Joe. She also has two rescue dogs: Cory (Malti-Poo) and Sugar Bear (Lab). 

She is excited to share the enthusiasm she has for theatre arts with her students and looks forward to the fun year ahead .
