Parent Communication

There are three formats for parents to keep track of what the class is learning. The first format is a group email blast to parents. I send weekly announcements briefly summarizing what was just completed and the learning goals for the upcoming week.

The second feature is Google Classroom Guardian feature. By enrolling as a Guardian, parents can opt to receive daily or weekly email summaries of the class including, Your child's missing work—work not turned in when the summary was sent. Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails). Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by the teacher.

The third format is Talking Points. Through talking points, parents will receive direct messages regarding student performance, behavior, and grades in my class.
