The DDMS National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) elevates our school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Members will develop the knowledge and skills needed to become well-rounded student leaders in our school, community, and beyond. 

2026-2027 Membership information letter 

*Submission forms for the 2025-2026 school year will be open May 18th, 2026*

*Applications & Essays are due Thursday June 11, 2026*

*Applications are not reviewed over the summer*

• Must be a current rising 8th grader as of June 2026.

• Must have been in attendance at DDMS for a minimum of 1 semester (since Spring 2026).

*If you have been inducted at a previous school, please reach out to Mr. Greenfarb*

• Must at least have maintained an A average (with no more than two B's) in 7th grade.

• Essay evaluated based on service, leadership, character, and citizenship

• Honorary membership for students with disabilities or special circumstances

• Once dismissed a member may never be readmitted

*Students will be notified of selection by email late August/early September 2026*
