Single Subject Acceleration
Single Subject Acceleration is the practice of assigning a student to a higher-grade level than is typical, given the student's age, for the purpose of providing access to appropriately challenging learning opportunities in either Language Arts or Mathematics.

- An SSA Information meeting will be held via Google Meet on Wednesday, February 28 at 8:00. The code for the Meet is meet.google.com/bxy-okwk-goe. Reminders will appear in the Conn Weekly Connector.
The testing application window for 2024 for Conn ES is April 1-April 12. Parents may access the application online from the Wake County Schools site or request a paper copy during the window. If you decide to fill out a paper form, please email me so I can let you know that I've received it.AIG teachers for traditional schools will submit their SSA testing requests no later than 5:00 PM on April 12.
Online SSA application will go live April 1.
The testing window for Conn ES will be April 22- May 6. Parents will be notified of the exact day and time of testing via email after the window closes.
All SSA testing will be done in person at Conn ES. Grades 2-5 testing will be done on the Canvas Platform while at Conn ES. Testing for grade 1 will be done via MClass and an in-person writing sample, to be graded by the district.
