PERSONAL PROFILE

I was born and raised in Ohio about an hour south of Cleveland. I moved down here to North Carolina in the fall of 2006. This year will my 24th in teaching. I started teaching elementary PE in Ohio from 1996-2000, then middle school in Ohio from 2000-2004, Holly Ridge Middle School from 2006-2020, Wake Forest Middle School 2020-2021, and now Lufkin Road Middle School. In the past I have coached girls JV tennis, middle school cross country, 7th grade basketball, JV basketball, Varsity basketball, and Varsity track & field.

Both of my parents were teachers and my wife is a teacher (Knightdale High School)so teaching is in my blood! I enjoy traveling (Scotland/Ireland 2015, Peru 2017, Puerto Rico 2018, and Western Canada 2019) and spending time with my daughters Isabella and Francesca. Bella will be a junior at UNC this fall majoring in Biology with a minor in Spanish. Cesca will be a freshman at App State were she is majoring in psychology. Both are Irish dancers and have achieved the highest level possible being Open Champions.
