Developing an organized system to optimize staff and student success requires time and effort. The Save the Dates was implemented in 2016-2017 and shared with the staff subsequently each year at our opening. The Save the Dates has evolved over time. This allows for staff to be proactive with their personal lives and be prepared for success in their professional lives.
LEAD Team Plan allows for a year long work plan developed 1-3 months at a time in conjunction with coaches, IF's, AP's and Leadership Team. This year long plan is the home to all meeting agendas, presentations, and documents utilized in meetings. This organization allows for the Lead Team staff to optimize their efforts to ensure coherence in our day-to-day improvement work.
Organization requires use of many tools. In December of 2018 I became Google Level 1 Certified and in September of 2019 I acquired Level 2 Certification. These skills allow me to develop a multitude of items including budget sheets, student data tracking, and presentation materials.
Adhering to and meeting all expectations for State and Federal Programs for budget, purchasing, and finance for EGES is a yearly goal. Discussions and work sessions with staff, parent stakeholders, and Leadership Team all consider the requirements of policies and procedures of WCPSS.
In 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 Dr. Graf pioneered the NC DPI Restart Initiative for EGES. She was particularly successful with her innovative use of resources to support the creation of teaching positions, securing funding for building improvements, and increasing access to much needed supplies and materials for students. Dr. Graf presented at two statewide Restart meetings to share her knowledge and innovative approach to flexibilities.
In September of 2022, Dr. Graf is a guest panelist for Restart Flexibilities at UNC Chapel Hill. Her expertise will support rising principals in their Masters of School Administration program.
