Meet Ms. Mohn

Hello, my name is Kim Mohn and I am so happy to be the art teacher at Leesville Road Elementary. I grew up in the great state of Ohio, went to Gordon College along the beautiful coast of Massachusetts but North Carolina is now home. I was a preschool, second grade, third grade, fourth grade classroom teacher and taught high school and middle school art. I have always loved art and I'm from a family of artists, where art (of all forms) was encouraged and appreciated.

When I have time I try to paint and draw things that interest me. As students know, a main interest of mine is all things Disney!

To me, art is not about natural talent or ability but being willing to learn from mistakes and improve skills by practicing.
