Welcome to First-Grade, Cary Cougars! 🐾 

My name is Madeline (or Maddie) Emmerich, and I am beyond excited to be your child’s First-Grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year! 🥳This is my third year at Cary Elementary, and I am so happy to be back with the Cougar family in First-Grade! I am dedicated to fostering a community of learners while upholding a supportive environment for your child to learn and grow.

I am originally from Brookline, Massachusetts, a town that borders Boston. I ventured to North Carolina to attend Elon University, where I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology. Growing up, I worked as a camp counselor at the summer camp I attended as a child, which fostered my initial desire to become a teacher. I have always had a love for all animals, reading, art, and swimming. I now live in Raleigh with Jake and our newest addition, Miley!
