Recorder Information! (for grades 3-5)

Good Morning Brassfield Families!

This is Mr. Endres with some important information regarding music classes for the upcoming year. According to our curriculum students in 3rd grade have a very large series recorder units to complete from January until April (depending on progress of individual classes). The 4th graders will be taking part in the Recorder Karate book study (materials will be provided virtually for practicing). The 5th graders will be using their recorders from last year and do a smaller study on the book 2 of the Recorder Karate publication.

All of these grade levels will need a recorder in order to take part in this part of the curriculum that has been planned for late December to April (depending on grade level and track placement). I do have small amount of recorders that can be used as a class set or be available for students to use. These recorders will be cleaned between every use to ensure that we do not pass germs around the school.

If anyone feels more comfortable with purchasing their own recorder please see the list of options below. If you find a great deal on a recorder please feel free to send it to me so I can share it with everyone. Below are recorders of various prices and vendors in case anyone would like options.
