Dear Families,
Brentwood Magnet Elementary has been a magnet school since 2009. As the only magnet program with an engineering theme in Wake County students are taught to think like engineers and solve problems. Our program began as a partnership with NC State University to introduce more STEM and engineering into elementary schools. Students at Brentwood learn how to collaborate and solve problems in all areas. They are masters at improvement and not afraid of failure. These skills are what prepare them not just for middle school but also equip them with life skills that set them up for success.
We are a smaller community school of around 400 students with a staff that works to foster and build relationships with students that continue from kindergarten through fifth grade and beyond. Each teacher in our building provides opportunities for students to strengthen their gifts and talents through engineering challenges, real world experiences, and leadership opportunities.
Thank you for taking time to explore and learn about Brentwood!
