Dear Fifth Grade Families,

I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This will be my 20th year teaching at Morrisville Elementary, my second year teaching 5th grade (I also taught 4th grade for 16 years and 3rd grade for two years). I earned my BA from Grand Valley State University in Michigan and have been Nationally Board Certified since 2009.

I grew up in a small town in northern Michigan and I love to go back there and visit family. I currently live in Apex with my husband, who also happens to be a teacher, and our two children. We have a son named Cooper, who will be in eighth grade, and a daughter named, Nora, who will be in second grade at MES. In my free time, I love to visit local parks and museums with my family, read, and cook.
