****THIS IS AN INDIVIDUAL COMPONENT OF THIS PROJECT****

As we work with these difficult issues where there is no right answer, we are also going to be practicing our AP exam skills.  To that end, we would like you to craft your own FRQ prompts tailored to your bioethical issue and book, outline responses to all three of your custom FRQ prompts, and then choose ONE of those outlines to turn into a full fledged essay.

INDIVIDUAL GRADES for this portion of the project

• 3 FRQ Prompts: 10 points each (30 points total-see rubric below)

  • 1 LEQ, 1 Rhetorical Analysis, 1 DBQ/Synthesis

• 3 FRQ Outlines: 10 points each (30 points total; graded on associated College Board rubric)

  • 1 LEQ, 1 Rhetorical Analysis, 1 DBQ/Synthesis

• 1 FRQ Timed Writing: 30 points (graded using associated College Board Rubric)

3/20 DBQ/Synthesis sources due @7:25 for feedback 

• 7 sources

• ONE must be an excerpt from your book

• Nonfiction: sources should be +/-20 years from the timeframe of the content of your book

• Fiction: sources should be +/-20 years from the timeframe of the publication of your book

• Prompt should follow the format of an AP US History DBQ prompt or an AP Lang synthesis Prompt

3/24 DBQ/Synthesis Outline Due at 2:30 pm

3/27 Rhetorical Analysis Passage, Prompt, and outline Due @7:25 am

3/31 LEQ prompt and outline Due at 2:30 pm

4/3 In Class Timed Writing on the customized prompt of your choice

How are a Synthesis Essay and a DBQ similar?  How are they different?
