Roles and Responsibilities

The American School Counseling Association defines school counselors as certified/licensed educators who improve student success for ALL students by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program. Buckhorn's school counseling program follows Wake County guidelines, North Carolina School Counselor Association, and the American School Counseling models. Among the services offered are classroom guidance lessons designed to address broad developmental topics (self-esteem, social skills, problem-solving skills, career awareness, etc).
