I am a North Carolina native. I am originally from Swansboro NC. I am a graduate of NC State and majored in Language Arts and Social Studies. This is my fourth year teaching and third year at Dillard. I am a huge HISTORY nerd and I love teaching this subject to students! I have a wonderful husband, two cats, and our dog Penny.

My Name is Reid Yoho and this will be my third year teaching at Dillard Drive Magnet Middle School! Before moving to Raleigh, I graduated from UNC Charlotte and then taught at the high school level in Charlotte. I look forward to uncovering different perspectives throughout history with my students and helping us relate historical concepts to our world today. In addition to my passion for teaching and history, I love being outdoors and traveling so always feel free to always ask about my most recent trip!

Hello Dragons! My name is Dawn Mecklenburg and this will be my 7th year teaching & my 3rd year at DDMMS! I am originally from small town outside of Seattle, WA. I graduated from NCSU with a BA degree in Anthropology and Film Production, with the goal of making educational films. I returned to NCSU to complete my teaching degree when I realized my heart was in the classroom. I am the proud parent of a 7th grade daughter and a pug. I love being part of the diverse Dillard Family and hope to continue working toward building a strong, supportive community with my students and Dragon families!
