Hi, welcome to 7th grade ELA! I am Mrs. Smith, and I will be your 7th grade ELA teacher this year. I am excited about getting to know each of you, and making this year INCREDIBLY AMAZING!

I am a former Army Brat, who in turn, was able to travel the world. My favorite place to live was SHAPE, Belgium. Being able to understand, live and learn different cultures has shaped my worldview. I am very thankful for my diversity of thought because it influences my teaching style and how I build relationships with students.

I graduated from Fayetteville State University with a BA in English Language and Literature. After graduating from Fayetteville State University, I obtained my teaching certification from NC State . I began my teaching career in Charlotte, NC at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle teaching 8th grade Language Arts. I've also taught 7th grade ELA at North Garner Middle School here in Wake County.

Last year, my husband and I had our first child, Autumn. She's such a spunky, funny little diva like her mom.

I am a very light hearted individual who cares about each and every person that walks into her classroom. We will work hard, read a lot, laugh a lot, and most importantly, survive 7th grade together! I can't wait to meet all of you!
