Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I look forward to meeting everyone and talking about World History!

Students in seventh grade will continue to expand upon the knowledge, skills and understanding acquired in sixth grade. In seventh grade we will study the world from the Age of Exploration to modern times in order to understand the implications of increased global interactions. This course will guide students through patterns of change with a focus on conflicts and cooperation between peoples, economic motivations and development, population movements, changes in political outlooks, cultural values and ideologies, and the influence these factors have had on the world during the time periods covered. Students will be encouraged to think open mindedly, to look at historical events from different perspectives, investigate cause and effect relationships, as well as form and defend / support opinions related to historical events.
