Social Contract
Social Contract
Every class creates a social contract, outlining how the students want that class to function. Students came up with the words on the contract were decided on after group discussions in answer to the following questions:
- How do you want to be treated by me (the teacher)?
- How do you want to be treated by each other?
- How do you think I (the teacher) want to be treated by you?
- How do you want to treat each other when there is conflict?
The students signed the social contract to show they agree to the behaviors listed. Students put a lot of thought into these responses and had meaning discussions.
