Here is what our leaders are learning this week:
The 7 Habits: We will be focusing on Habit 1: Be Proactive
EL Module: This week students will be exploring story elements in the story The Ant and the Grasshopper
EL Skills Block: Students will continue learning -aw and -au (Cycle 19)
Science/SS: Students will be finishing their Economics Vocabulary notebook and preparing for our Economics Fair on Friday!
Math: Students will continue adding three two-digit numbers and begin collecting, analyzing and graphing data

REMINDERS

Math: Students will be using various strategies (count on, count all, bar model) to solve addition and subtraction equations
REMINDERS

EL Skills Block: Students will be assessed on their spelling and decoding skills for their beginning of the year benchmark.
Science/SS: This week we will discuss expectations for science and social studies and begin our sound unit in science.
Math: Students will be exploring the 'count on' addition strategy as well as using the bar model to solve equations.

Math: Students will be learning about tools vs toys and exploring the various math tools we will use this year.
