Position Overview:
At Chick-fil-A, the Operations Director Apprentice role is more than just a job, it’s a leadership opportunity to make a lasting impact. Working alongside the Restaurant Owner/Operator, the Operations Director supports the aspects of restaurant operations to ensure the highest standards of food quality, speed of service, team development, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
· Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellence in food safety, quality, accuracy, and speed of service.
· Develop and implement efficient systems to optimize productivity and uphold Chick-fil-A’s operational standards.
· Manage labor, food costs, and inventory to meet profitability and efficiency goals.
· Ensure consistent adherence to all Chick-fil-A policies, procedures, and brand standards.
· Lead all aspects of kitchen (Back of House) and/or front counter (Front of House) operations with a hands-on approach.
Team Development
· Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members with a focus on culture fit and excellence.
· Coach and mentor team leaders and shift managers to reach their full potential.
· Provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations to encourage growth and accountability.
· Foster a positive, team-oriented culture built on respect, communication, and servant leadership.
Guest & Quality Experience
· Maintain a relentless focus on food safety, cleanliness, and consistency across all operations.
· Ensure that all guests experience Chick-fil-A’s signature hospitality and product quality.
· Quickly resolve any operational or service-related issues to uphold the restaurant’s reputation.
Strategic Management
· Partner with the Operator to create and execute business plans focused on growth, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
· Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Oversee scheduling and labor forecasting to balance service excellence with cost management.
· Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Leadership Presence
· Model Chick-fil-A’s core values of integrity, excellence, and care in every interaction.
· Set the tone for operational excellence by leading with a servant’s heart and a growth mindset.
· Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the team and leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
· Proven experience in restaurant management- (WCPS CTE-Culinary, Food & Beverage Management) or operations management (WCPS-Hospitality & Tourism, Business Management, Marketing)
· Chick-fil-A experience preferred but not required.
· Strong leadership and team development skills.
· Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in scheduling, inventory management, and basic business reporting.
· ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training preferred.
· Flexible availability (including early mornings, evenings, and weekends; closed on Sundays).
· Ability to stand for long periods and lift 10–50 lbs as needed.
