My name is Tanner Kamphefner. I coach the Wrestling Team at Kennedy High School. I graduated from El Toro High School in 2013, finishing a wrestling career of 3 years as Team Captain, League Champion, and CIF Contender. After over 20 years, wrestling is back at the K! I restarted the team in the 2019-2020 school year, finishing our season right as COVID struck our community. We have not been able to restart due to the pandemic, but hope for a full team when we do! Wrestling is a winter sport, going from around November through January, and is available for anyone to join. Wrestling takes physical strength and dexterity, but mental fortitude and heart are the biggest tools for success. In the words of legendary wrestler Dan Gable, "once you've wrestled, everything in life is easy."
