WCCUSD Meal Pick-Up Locations

WCCUSD has 17 sites where you can pick up breakfast and lunch to-go Monday-Friday from 11-1 PM. You can pick up meals for all children 18 and under. Helms Middle and Richmond High are 2 of the sites where you can pick up meals.

  • Due to coronavirus (COVID 19), children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school will get extra food benefits. These food benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT benefits. P-EBT benefits help families in California buy food when school is closed. Apply by June 30! LINK

Rent and Bills Support

Pacific Gas and Electric Co (PG&E) has halted service disconnections. The utility will also offer flexible payment plans "to customers who indicate either an impact or hardship as a result of COVID-19."

East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) will not turn off water. EBMUD's Customer Assistance Program may help reduce bills for customers facing economic hardship.

The city of Richmond will not allow any evictions during this time. If your landlord is demanding rent and you cannot afford it, you may call the Richmond Rent Program staff at (510) 234-RENT [7368] to address any questions from community members. You may also seek legal support from the resources below.

Mental Health

Being home all day can be very challenging for kids. They are used to connecting with peers and school staff and to having a routine. As they face the loss of a predictable routine, the absence of their friends, and the uncertainty of what comes next, they can become anxious or depressed.
