Dance Production is a dance performance and composition class open to students of intermediate-advanced technical ability who successfully complete the audition / recommendation process. The class includes dance technique training in various dance styles, dance improvisation, choreography, reflection, and the production of dance concerts. Participation in student compositions is required as either a cast member or choreographer (or both). Students may also be invited to perform in teacher-choreographed work. Participation in Fall and spring semester-ending performances is expected, whether as choreographer, performer, or in a backstage role.
