Here you will find the majority of the information and recourses you will need for your L2 or L3 Music Course at Wellington College. Each of the Assessment activities on offer has a page with information on what is required and there are specific resources that link with what is happening in class. Make sure you are asking questions if you are not sure about anything. Have a great year in Music!

Solo Performance
Assessment 1 - Monday 9th June - times TBA - St Andrew's on the Terrace; Amplified - Room F1, WC
Assessment 2 - Tuesday 2nd September - times TBA - St Andrew's on the Terrace; Amplified - Room F1, WC
Both the L2 and L3 course have a high degree of personalisation. Depending on what aspects of music you want to focus on, we can create a course that caters for your musical goals.
We would urge you to work with your teacher to choose a course of study that is realistic and is a mix of larger portfolio style assessment activities and smaller, shorter assessments. There are no compulsory assessments, though we suggest a mix of practical and written activities. 18 - 24 Credits is a typical course total. Some guidance is below:
L2 Music - broad focus:

NZ Music (4 Credits) or Instrumentation (4 Credits)
Composition (6 Credits)
And one of:
Aural (4 Credits) or Score Reading (4 Credits) or Music Works (4 Credits)

L2 Music - Performance focus:
Pick all of the following:

You will discuss your course focus with your teacher and plan accordingly. No changes should happen after week 8 of Term 1.
It is expected that you will regularly submit work for feedback and will adhere to the communicated due dates for assessment submission.
