Summer break is coming fast!! Finish strong!!
WELCOME! I am so glad you stopped by my page! I will be using this page to help communicate with parents/guardians and students about the WCHS Health Science classes offered at the Bakken Area Skills Center. It is my hope that we will be able to celebrate accomplishments, recognize excellence and inspire students to explore health careers in a very tangible way. Through our classroom learning, skill development, job shadows, and workforce certifications, we are providing a foundation, and serving as a launchpad, for aspiring healthcare professionals.
MY FAMILY
About Me
I started my teaching career in 2022, after working as an LPN in the healthcare industry for 17 years. I have always had a profound love for teaching and education. I have a passion for connecting students to careers and exposing them to the joy of being able to care for others. Teaching, by far, has been one of the most fulfilling jobs of my entire career.
My years of working in different areas of healthcare have prepared me for teaching students in a way that is personal and applicable. I am so thrilled to have an opportunity to inspire and encourage the next generation of healthcare professionals. It is my passion to empower students to find their purpose and prepare them for their future!
Growing up in Watford City, it was always my goal to return home. So after living in the Fairview and Williston area for several years, we returned to Watford City in 2018 and built our forever home. My husband Kyle runs registered black angus cattle on the family ranch, and works as the Farm Manager at the NDSU Williston Research Extension Center. Together, we have two married daughters, Grace (Lee) Delp and Anna (Jesse) Garcia of Watford City. We have two grandchildren, Leah and Jack Garcia, and they are our greatest joys.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, travel, go on walks with my dogs Buddy and Tinker, watch the ducks swim in our dam, and drink coffee on my deck. I find serenity in the small things, and joy in being present in the lives of the people I love most.
One of my favorite quotes:
"The way that we live reflects what we love."
