Band Camp
Band Camp is located at Simpson Park Camp in Romeo, MI. Camp runs Monday August 5-Friday August 9. All members of the marching band MUST attend Band Camp! At camp, students learn and memorize music and drill for the upcoming show. It is recommended to follow the packing list below, and prepare for outdoor physical activity. Band Camp features activity nights every evening for everyone to enjoy after a day of work. Many memories are made at band camp, along with friendships that will last. Please review the packing list, as these items are suggested (and some required) for camp.
Packing List
ITEMS TO BRING TO CAMP:
Instrument, Music, and Personal Supplies
Music, lyre and plastic flip folio
Sleeping gear – sleeping bag or two blankets and a sheet and pillow
Medications (turn into medical staff at camp check in).
Money for camp store ($10-15 if desired). There will be a person collecting it at camp check in.
Optional – small supply of your own food (cookies, chips, etc.). It must be kept in an air tight container. Do not bring food that is quickly perishable. DO NOT BRING FOOD THAT CONTAINS ANY NUT PRODUCTS
LIMIT ONE SUITCASE/DUFFEL BAG AND ONE CARRYONE TO BE PACKED WITH THE FOLLOWING:
Toiletry Articles – comb, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap in a container, two towels and washcloths, deodorant, Kleenex, chapstick, shaver, Band-Aids, sunburn cream and foot care powder.
Clothing – pants, shorts, tops, t shirts (must be worn during rehearsals), underwear, bathing suit, pajamas, sneakers (2 pair), extra socks, rain coat. Please pack for any possible weather condition. Also, please bring a pair of flip flops for the shower.
Baseball caps or other hats to be worn at all field rehearsals.
Laundry bag, preferably plastic with ties.
Flashlight with batteries
Miscellaneous – Camera, sunglasses, etc.
Ankle braces, knee braces, back support belt (if needed)
Water bottle or jug that you can carry to, or on, the rehearsal field. We will have water to supply you.
WHAT NOT TO BRING TO CAMP:
Water guns, super soakers, balloons, etc.
Shaving cream for any use other than for personal hygiene
Any other items that would be considered inappropriate by the director, staff or school district.

Students will not be fed until dinner later today. Please plan on having something to eat before then. No nut products allowed
