"There is nothing like a good book!" However, kids need to explore new genres in order to broaden and deepen their reading tastes.
Book talks help you figure out precisely the qualities of book that make them good, and they expose your thinking to other students. Your requirement is to complete ONE book talk each marking period. This can be turned in whenever you want during each marking period.
However, you are challenged, this year, to complete ONE book talk each trimester.
Thank you to Joy Kirr for sharing your resources with fellow educators! See her students' book talks HERE for some examples.
