Isaaq Bashir
Director and Organizer
Isaaq Bashir is currently a senior at Waynflete School. He plans on organizing the next SAYV Waynflete this coming spring and hopes to organize subsequent events.
Owen Hoffsten
Cofounder
Owen Hoffsten is currently a first-year at Pomona College. He is responsible for organizing this past summer's SAYV Waynflete event, during which eight youth speakers convened for a night of dialogue and exchanging ideas. He is involved with a number of different community organizations, including Seeds of Peace, and devotes most of his time to political activism and creative disciplines, such as music production and songwriting.
Najma Abdullahi
Cofounder and Creator
Najma Jama Abdullahi is currently a first-year at University of Southern Maine. She came up with the idea for SAYV Project as an organization devoted to giving young people and teens a platform to speak about issues they are passionate about. She is part of Seeds of Peace and is an avid reader, poet, and lover of art. She is a black somali muslim woman who is devoted to bringing equity to the disenfranchised.
Nick Hagler
Media Director
Nick Hagler is currently a senior at Waynflete School. He a has worked closely with Najma and Owen to advertise SAYV's mission throughout the greater Portland community. He is an aspiring filmaker, engineer, and designer who has a passion for logical dialogue and discussions.
