This past week was CinemaCon, a movie convention held in Las Vegas this year. This event was for journalists and people who work in the movies and featured various studios. The studios included Disney, Paramount, Universal, Lionsgate, and Warner Brothers. 

Although not much was released to the public to see, a lot of information was released. This included information about upcoming movies like casting, production, and clips. 

Journalists recorded what was given and wrote out what was given. Although the public did not get to see much, people should be excited for what is to come for movies in the future. This is an event to celebrate movies and what has been and will be accomplished.

It’s the last few months of 2023 and the end of summer and that means it’s time to head back into school as many students think but there’s so much more to these months. For example, one massive event for many artists was the MTV Video Music Awards or better known as the VMAS in the middle  of September. The VMAS is a time for singers to win awards for their top songs and albums that they released during this year. This year the VMAS were held RIGHT HERE in Newark, New Jersey. The host for the VMAS was Nicki Minaj.The awards consists of Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, PUSH Performance of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Hip-Hop, Best R&B, Best Alternative, Best Rock, Best Latin, Best K-Pop, Best Afrobeats, Video for Good, Show of the Summer, Group of the Year, Song of Summer, Album, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Choreography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, and Video Vanguard. 

Everyone who was there was a winner but the person who stood out was Taylor Swift. She walked back home with 9 awards out of her 11 nominations. She won Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Show of the Summer, Album of the Year, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and  Best Visual Effects. However many artists won  great awards too. Ice Spice won Best New Artist and Shakira won the Video Vanguard Award and best collaboration with KAROL G. The winner for the best PUSH performance of the year was a group of singers named Tomorrow X Together. Even though Nicki Minaj was hosting, she still won the Best Hip-Hop award. The R&B award went to the singer SZA. Lana Del Rey and Jon Batiste won Best Alternative with their song Candy Necklace. The Best Rock award winner was the group Manskin. Anitta won Best Latin and Stray Kids won Best K-pop. Selena Gomez and Rema came out with an amazing hit, Calm Down and that song won Best Afrobeats. Dove Cameron with her new look won Video for Good. Blackpink won Group of the Year and Best Choreography. The Song of Summer was given to Jung Kook. Doja Cat Won Best Art Direction and finally the Best Editing award goes to Olivia Rodrigo. In conclusion all the singers were great even if they didn't win awards. But the people who did win went home as a star.

Have you heard the news? If you haven't I am here to tell you! One of the worlds favorite singers Taylor Swift is rumored to be dating Travis Kelce from then Kansas City Chiefs. Nothing is confirmed yet but both of their fans started digging for every piece of information they could. On September 24th, 2023 the musician showed up at the Chiefs vs. Bears and Chiefs vs. Jets game. You could see her yelling and cheering on Travis kelce. She was also caught on camera pointing out Travis Kelce to one of her friends Blake Lively. When Taylor Swift was at one of the games you could see her hugging and talking to Mama Kelce/Donna kelce. Later Donna went on to tell interviewers that Taylor was a very sweet girl.

Travis Kelce did the “Archer Pose.” during the first game Taylor Swift was spotted at the reason fans think he did that is because Taylor Swift has a song named “the Archer. ''.  Travis was also spotted at one of Taylor Swift Shows in Kansas City. He said he wanted to give Taylor Swift a “Friendship Bracelet.” with his number on it because Swifty traded them during the concert but he didn't get a chance too. Travis Kelce was also filmed looking at Taylor saying something along the lines of “She looked amazing.” while looking at her as well. This was the game against the Kansas City Chiefs (which is the team he plays for) and the Chicago bears.

TRAVIS KELCE AND TAYLOR SWIFT

When Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were leaving the game together fans were saying they were getting in a “Getaway Car”. Which is a reference to one of the swiftie's favorite songs made by Taylor Swift from her reputation album. She was also spotted at one of the chief's post parties with family and friends only. One of his team members(Patrick Mahomes) was being asked about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift and if they were dating or not. He said that Travis is always calm when he is talking so you can never tell if he is lying or not. Taylor has been spotted hugging and having her arm around Travis Kelce as well. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been seen in New York City for two nights in a row. The first night they were spotted you could see that Travis Kelce had a lipstick smudge on the top of his lip and Taylor’s lipstick was smudged on the top. They were also on Saturday Night Live(SNL) on October 14. On October 15 they were seen walking out of a restaurant in NYC. Now Travis nor Taylor have confirmed these rumors but they were seen holding hands when they were walking in NYC so it’s pretty obvious. Let's hope they finally tell the world they are dating!
