Kids Helping Kids
Free tutoring for middle school students who attend Wayne schools. Tutoring services are provided by the Wayne Valley High School National Honor Society students in the Storytime Room of the Wayne Public Library on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 2:45 - 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 - 7:15 p.m. Students may attend one or both days - no appointment necessary! Led by Lady Gaga and her mother Cynthia Germanotta, the Born This Way Foundation was founded in 2011 to foster a more accepting society, where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated. The Foundation is dedicated to creating a safe community that helps connect young people with the skills and opportunities they need to build a braver, kinder world.
Kind Campaign is an internationally recognized movement, documentary and school program based upon the powerful belief in KINDness that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl "crime." In February 2009, while attending Pepperdine University, two young girls recognized a problem and decided to create a documentary and non-profit that would ultimately change the lives of hundreds and thousands of people across America. The girls have gone on three national tours, spreading their school assembly program and documentary file in hundreds of schools and communities across the country.

'It's My Life' deals with (you guessed it!) life and the stuff that you deal with every day. Whatever problem you are dealing with, believe it or not, kids and teens have gone through the same thing. At 'It's My Life' you can read informative articles, share your stories, play games and activities, take quizzes and polls, watch video clips of other kids talking about their feelings and experiences, get advice from older kids and experts, and contribute your own comments and questions. 'It's My Life' also features interviews with celebrities about stuff they had to go through when they were kids.
'It's My Life' is organized across six topic "channels": Friends, Family, School, Body, Emotions and Money. The aim of the website it so cover issues important to you, and the site is filled with young people's comments, ideas, and questions sent in from all over the world. 'It's My Life' is for kids, about kids, and most importantly by kids. After all, it's YOUR life!

Distributed through classrooms by English teachers, Creative Writing teachers, Journalism teachers and art teachers around the country, Teen Ink magazine offers some of the most thoughtful and creative work generated by teens and has the largest distribution of any publication of its kind. This magazine depends completely on submissions from teenagers nationwide for our content.
