Physical Education - 9th Grade Health & PE - The Health & Physical Education department is very excited for the upcoming school year. Throughout the school year the staff will work hard to provide the students with an exciting and effective activities which will not only be fun, but will enhance their level of physical fitness and provide them with the opportunity to develop a love for lifelong fitness. To all our students, staff, and parents we hope you have a successful school year at Wayne Community Schools.
Health - The course is designed to introduce students to a variety of health topics. This course covers the following topics: Character Ed., Personal Health, Mental Health, Family Issues, Sex Education, Safe Dating, Nutrition & Substance Abuse.
Lifetime Sports & Activities - The course will offer students the opportunity to participate in a variety of individual and cooperative game activities designed to improve their level of fitness. The following activities are a few examples of what the students will do this year: Fitness Testing, Running, Orienteering, Soccer, Lacrosse, Pickle Ball, Ultimate Frisbee/Football, Softball, Basketball, Volleyball, & Dancing.
