The Conservation Tales books offer stories for elementary students that help them learn that they be scientists and care for their environment. This presentation will share stories about the process of creating the books and ways they are being used to help children learn about conservation... and much more! Meet the author and art director for the series, and discuss curriculum integration ideas using the Conservation Tales books.
This session will discuss how to start and finish a fantasy or science fiction novel while juggling a full-time job and a family, deciding between writing a single book or a whole series and the pros and cons of each, and how to utilize J.T. Grainger’s new fantasy fiction novel, The World Beyond the Stairs: Mary’s Journey, to initiate thought-provoking discussions.
